One William Shakespeare's most loved characters Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream is appearing on Saturday, November 15 at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.
The production called Puck's Bottom, which takes the name of another Shakespearean character from the same story, will combine the stories of the fairies from the original play.
Puck leads the audience on a perilous journey through Fairyland as Nick Bottom the Weaver and friends are preparing a play to perform before the Duke and Duchess on their wedding day.
Meanwhile, in the forest the King and Queen of the fairies are at war. The world of human and spirits are entwined and turned upside down until Puck comes to the rescue.
The production will involve the use of hand-carved puppets and an original musical score, inspired by traditional English and African folk music. [25cf] [25cf] Puck's Bottom will be staged on Saturday, November 15 at 11am and 2pm and is suitable for children aged five and up.
Tickets, which cost £6, can be bought by calling 01483 440 000 or at www.yvonne-arnaud.co.uk.
