Kirsty murder: partner in court

Kirsty Wilson

The partner of 34-year-old mum Kirsty Wilson has appeared in court charged with her murder.

Alan Jermey, a car dealership manager aged 40, was remanded in custody following his appearence at Woking Magistrates Court on Saturday August 30 and is due to enter a plea at the Old Bailey on October 24.

Mr Jermey had lived with the victim and their two children in Greenmeads, Woking.

Firefighters battled a blaze at the couple's home shortly after midnight on August 27. They rescued the children, who were treated at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey, for smoke inhalation, and are now being looked after by relatives.

Kirsty's body was discovered by emergency services at the scene. She was formally identified on Friday (August 29) using dental records and a forensic post mortem has taken place to help determine the cause of death.

Mr Jermey, who was also treated for smoke inhalation, was arrested on suspicion of murder and formally charged on Friday night.
