'Ramsay to open Chertsey cooking school'

Gordon Ramsey

Foul-mouthed celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is in talks to open a cookery school at a mansion in Chertsey, according to sources.

A source at claims the Hell's Kitchen star wants to buy part of Botley's Mansion, in Stonehill Road, which is currently owned by mortgage brokers Network Data Holdings.

However but another equally-well placed source suggests the chef in question is Jamie Oliver.

Anna Barry, secretary of Chertsey Chamber of Commerce, is delighted at the prospect and said: "Having Gordon Ramsay or Jamie Oliver open a cookery school is very exciting for Chertsey.

"The town will certainly prosper if either of the chefs come to town, because they will bring visitors who will eat in our restaurants, drink in our pubs and stay in our hotels."

On Wednesday publicists for Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver were unable to confirm or deny the rumours.
