HOUSING developments in Cobham and Esher have picked up two awards in the Evening Standard New Homes Awards.
Developers at Consero Homes received highly commended awards for Silverbirches, in Fairmile Avenue, Cobham, and Thomas More Gardens, in Portsmouth Road, Esher.
Television personality and comedian Rob Brydon presented their trophies at The Dorchester Hotel, in London.
Silverbirches picked up the highly commended award in the best new family home with five or more bedrooms category, for its luxury six-bedroom house.
The house contains state-ofthe-art equipment, including a multi-room audio system, video entry security and a heated swimming pool.
Thomas More Gardens - 10 four and five-bedroom houses overlooking Sandown Racecourse - also claimed a highly commended prize in the best new small development category.
Consero directors Steven Glover and Robert Osborn collected the awards from Rob Brydon, as well as a third for a home in New Malden.
Mr Glover said: "We are absolutely delighted that we have received these awards.
"A great deal of thought goes into designing and creating truly outstanding homes."
Mr Osborn added: "The calibre of entrants was extremely high this year. It's a real honour to win one award, let alone three. I would like to thank everyone involved in the developments for their hard work and dedication."
