Sun shining on Lyne Village Fete

WARM sunshine brought the crowds to Lyne Village Fete on Saturday, June 20.

Families, children and adults enjoyed the games and activities on offer at Lyne Recreation Ground in Lyne Lane.

There were bouncing castles, inflatable rides, games and face painting for the younger visitors, and raffles, tombolas, and stalls for those who were a little older.

Martyn Daw, 37, who took his seven-year-old twins Zoe and Hannah to the fete, said: "It was really busy and I think the organisers have done a really good job.

"The sun was out and it brought lots of people and lots of families to enjoy a day out.

"The kids really enjoyed themselves, and it's something a bit different for me to do on a Saturday afternoon as well, now the football season's over."

The fete ran for most of the afternoon, opening at 12noon and finishing at 5pm.
