Donal MacIntyre assault suspects released

Two Addlestone men arrested over an alleged assault on TV star Donal MacIntyre have been released without charge.
The undercover reporter and reality television star told a national newspaper that he and his wife were attacked outside the Cloud 9 bar in Bridge Road, East Molesey, on June 17.
A 48-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Addlestone, were arrested the following day on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm, but they have now had their bail cancelled and have not been charged with any offence.
A police spokesman said: "Detectives at Staines CID are continuing to carry out an active and thorough investigation into this incident and are appealing to members of the public to help."
