Jump racing brings celebrities to Kempton

Michael Owen at Kempton Park

JUMP racing is back at Kempton Park Racecourse this month - and its return is sure to attract a host of celebrities.

Famous faces have been increasingly attracted to the Sunbury track in recent times, as horse racing ownership becomes ever more popular.

So far this year names including TV stars Ant & Dec, actor James Nesbitt and footballers Michael Owen, Ledley King and Claudio Pizarro have been seen watching their horses in action and mingling in the paddock, which can be seen by racegoers.

The jumps action returns on Sunday, October 18 and there are a further two meetings in November.

There is also plenty of action on the flat on Kempton Park's all-weather surface, with 27 fixtures taking place between October and December, including every Wednesday night with the exception of December 23.

Everyone who purchases a 'Cracker' admission package in advance of the William Hill Winter Festival in December goes into a free draw - and one person will win a brand new Kia Soul Shaker car.

Each Cracker package includes admission on either December 26 or 27, a racecard, a £25 William Hill bet, a drink, and a discounted return visit voucher to the racecourse in 2010.
