Police shut down Virginia Water brothel

A brothel in Virginia Water has been closed down after worried residents contacted the police.

The address in Station Parade had signs it had been used for prostitution and the police it down and informed the owner.

PC Elaine Bryant, Neighbourhood Specialist Officer for Virginia Water said: "I am delighted that we have successfully closed the brothel found at this address.

"It is thanks to the intelligence given by local residents that we have been made aware of situation and have been able to close the premises.

"I hope this will show residents that we take their concerns seriously, and will act upon any information given to us regarding criminal activity in Virginia Water. The closure of this brothel should reassure residents and help make the area a safer and more enjoyable place to live."
