Percy Bryant Road, in Sunbury, where a 70 year old man threatened with a knife during an aggravated burglary
AN ELDERLY man was threatened with a knife in his own home during an aggravated burglary on Friday.
At around 7pm three black men wearing hats and gloves knocked on the door of the 70-year-old man in Percy Bryant Road, Sunbury.
Upon opening the door, the criminals pushed the man aside, and started ransacking his property.
They went to the kitchen and got a few knives from a draw before threatening the old man verbally.
Rebecca Kempster, Spelthorne's acting neighbourhood inspector, said: "They then proceeded to search the home and stole £230 from the living room before leaving. It was a nasty incident, and all for a small amount of money."
The criminals created quite a lot of mess during the ransack, which is being described as an 'untidy search' where they tipped things over.
But as the police have good descriptions of the men, they are asking help from the public to locate them.
All of the men were aged between 28-30, of West Indian appearance, and had West London accents. They also all wore dark woollen gloves and hats.
The first man also had on white Adidas trainers, blue jeans, a top with a white motif on his left chest, and was of slim build.
The second man was of medium build and also had on a dark zip-up jacket, blue jeans, and black trainers.
The third man was wearing dark coloured jeans.
