Man dragged along Weybridge high street by car

A 29-YEAR-old Esher man sustained a suspected broken collar bone and rib injuries after being dragged along by a car in Weybridge High Street on March 6.

The man opened the side passenger door of a stationary vehicle belived to have belonged to his brother, when the vehicle then sped off at speed, about 2am. The victim was thrown from the car after being dragged along.

Elmbridge Inspector Richard Haycock said: "This incident turned out to be a dispute between two brothers which got out of hand.
"We are investigating the incident but it's no high cause for public concern."

A 27-year-old man from Esher has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in police custody.

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have seen the attck should call Detective Constable Rene Murdoch at Staines CID on 0845 125 222 quoting refernce EL/10/1672.
