Walton murder suspect will not face charges
A tribute left at the spot where Anthony Heffernan disappeared
A WOMAN who was arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was found in the River Thames in December will not face charges.
The 30-year-old women, from Walton, has had her bail cancelled and no further action will take place say police.
She was first arrested following the death of 55-year-old Anthony Heffernan on Monday December 28.
He was spotted by a member of the public at the end of Felix Road at 6.42pm but despite resuscitation attempts by paramendics he died later at St Peter's Hospital, in Chertsey.
An inquest into Mr Heffernan's death will take place in due course.
