A FAMILY fun day at a Hersham nursery raised at least £2,500 for Chertsey's White Lodge Centre.
More than 400 people turned out for the Lilliput Nursery's annual family fun day on Hersham Green.
The day included a fancy dress parade, races, raffle, tombola and a silent auction, with prizes including vouchers for Johnson Shoes in Walton.
Nursery manager Melanie Spence said: "The day was really successful.
"We've already raised £2,500 without taking into account the silent auction and the children's printed tea towels we sell.
"It was really lovely to see all the families that could come as we know it's hard to juggle this with work."
The nursery hope to raise £4,000 for the centre in Chertsey, which provides activities and opportunities for disabled children.
