SCHOOLCHILDREN have designed posters to deter littering along the towpath between Shepperton and Sunbury.
Pupils from Ashley C of E Primary School in Walton decided to act when they noticed the amount of rubbish at the locks during a trip along the Thames as part of their transport topic.
The pupils in hedgehog and squirrel class created posters to display along the Thames path to raise awareness and stop people littering the river.
They handed their artwork to Sunbury lock keeper Steve Drewett.
A school spokeswoman said: "As an award-winning green school, it's good to see our students being so eco-friendly.
"To show such care and concern aged four and five is amazing."
