Boy Meets Girl: What the psychic said

Boy Meets Girl

Vicki and Ed speak to celebrity clairvoyant Lee Van Zyl who gives them an insight into their future relationships. Lee was only told their names and dates of birth.

Ed writes: It’s time to end this column. This space will be empty next week. You swooning ladies can give up the ghost. I am no longer a singleton – I have found the perfect girl.

She’s about 5ft 5ins, petite and feminine, with long, fair hair, fair skin and bluey-green eyes. She’s got a beautiful heart-shaped face, is pretty and cute, and is as intelligent, if not slightly more intelligent, than me.

The only problem is I don’t know her name. No, she’s not some floozy who I met on a depraved night out whose name I have forgotten. In fact, it’s much worse than that. I haven’t even met her yet.

Confusing, I know. Don’t worry though, I have it on good authority from my clairvoyant Lee that this is the girl I am going to meet when I go to Ibiza next month.

I know what you’re thinking – I might as well book the chapel now.

Before my reading from Lee I was extremely sceptical. My brain likes science and logic. No one can tell the future or read into the past. The only point of psychics is to help depressed fat women from Grimsby feel better about themselves.

However, Lee was extremely convincing. By initially appearing to know about my past and my present, she made me build up a trust in her forecast for the future.

And while some of her guesswork did ring true (including Ibiza girl hopefully) her predictions that interesting things might happen to me on the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 11th, 23rd or 26th of September, November or December were a touch more vague than I was after.

Come to think of it, while I started this as an obituary to my single life, maybe, just maybe, on the outside chance that for some inexplicable reason Ibiza girl doesn’t come good, I’ll keep searching.

But watch this space because my destiny has been delivered.

Vicki writes: When Lee started talking to me over the phone I thought she knew me even though we have never met.

She told me in relationships my heart rules my head and I’m very emotional. Within the last year I’ve become less shy than I used to be and I’m not worried about expressing my feelings, which has opened me up to some interesting experiences.

From September 2007 and until February this year I pined for a nostalgic feeling between me and somebody. (I’m sure Lee is talking about Mr special B). She carried on to say that although this person and I had a strong connection the timing was off with obstacles in his practical life that just wasn’t going to make it work. (This is so Mr special B)!

She said that at present I am over-analysing everything. I suppose that comes with writing a dating column though.

Lee added she feels there is someone around me but nothing has materialised yet and then she described the man of my future.

He is someone who is grounded with a steady job, who takes responsibility of his life, someone with a lot of travelling experience who is inclined to want to travel.

He is between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall, with a chunky build but good physique. He has an office job either in insurance, sales or finance.

He has a gentle demeanour with a very strong interest in music, which gives a good connection between us.

She predicts this man will materialise in the period between end of August to November.

Mr special B works in sales, travels a lot for his job, he’s 6ft tall with a fairly chunky build. He loves music and has a massive CD collection.

But as avid readers know I'm trying my hardest to forget about him and get over him. I told Lee this and she said: "There was a strong connection between you. You don’t have to block it out it is still there. You have to have some faith."

Maybe this person she sees is someone new but could it be Mr special B? Well Lee has definitely given me new hope.

Let’s just wait and see...
